Representatives of Actual I.T., Vladimir Djurdjić (Head of Development) and Boštjan Petelin (Director of EBS), took part in a recent economic delegation to Algeria, organized alongside the official visit of Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon and the first session of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between Slovenia and Algeria.
The delegation was coordinated by SPIRIT Slovenia, in cooperation with the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and included 11 Slovenian companies from a variety of sectors – from energy, defence and pharmaceuticals to artificial intelligence, space, and advanced digital technologies.
During the visit, Actual I.T. continued high-level discussions with APCS, a subsidiary of the state-owned logistics corporation Serport, responsible for the digital transformation of 10 major Algerian ports. The goal: to establish a broad and long-term strategic cooperation, leveraging Actual’s digital expertise in logistics, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and smart systems.
As part of the delegation, Actual I.T. was also honoured to be welcomed as a special guest at the Port of Algiers, one of the largest and most important ports in Algeria – a strong signal of the country’s openness and interest in Slovenian know-how.
With a population nearing 50 million and a clear focus on transport modernisation and digital infrastructure, Algeria presents a unique opportunity for Slovenian tech and consulting companies looking to expand into emerging markets. Its geographical proximity to Europe and growing investment in innovation make it one of Africa’s key players for the coming years.
"We’re excited to be part of this momentum. In our discussions with APCS, we identified several areas where Actual I.T. can directly contribute to Algeria’s digital transition – particularly in ports, logistics and critical IT infrastructure," said Vladimir Djurdjić, Head of Development at Actual I.T.
Looking ahead, we see strong potential for impactful collaboration in key digital domains, including:
the digitalisation of logistics and transport,
IT infrastructure and data centre solutions,
advanced cybersecurity services, and
emerging smart technologies.
Algeria’s growing appetite for innovation and long-term partnerships aligns closely with Actual I.T.’s vision of exporting knowledge, co-developing solutions, and helping clients modernise with confidence.
Actual I.T. remains committed to international expansion, long-term cooperation, and empowering digital transformation in regions with high growth potential.
